Alana and Alyssa
Alana De La Garza has earned a reputation in TV. De La Garza born 1976 to her Irish mother as well as an Irish mother and a Mexican father from Columbus Ohio. She moved to Texas for the purpose of pursuing a career as a physical therapist at the University of Texas. De La Garza did not remain in Texas for long and shortly after moved in Orlando Florida, where she took on a number of parts as an actor, including independent local films and commercials. Despite the small role, she found that acting was her passion. In 2001, she moved into New York where her first appearance was on the All My Children's daytime soap in the role of Rosa Santos. Throughout the first decade of 2000 she appeared in tiny roles in JAG Las Vegas as well as Two and a Half Men. In 2004, she got a role in her debut series role on The Mountain which was a short-lived television drama. De La Garza, who played Maria Serrano on The Mountain was fortunate to have starred with a variety of top TV stars, including Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Mitch Pilegget and Mitch. Her most memorable character was on Law & Order where she appeared as A.D.A. Connie Rubirosa. The actress was featured in 85 episodes. Then, she appeared in her role in the Law & Order: LA film, a short-lived sequel. The character of De La Garza received numerous nominations which included Best Supporting Actress for Television at the Imagen Foundation Awards. She also received ALMA Award nods. The National Hispanic Media Coalition awarded her the Impact Award, which is awarded for exceptional performances on the drama show. De La Garza landed a part-time role in CSI Miami a short time afterwards. She portrayed Marisol Deko as Horatio the wife of actor Michael Caine. Most recent TV appearance was in the role of the character Dr. Lena Solis on NBC's somewhat more dark-hearted comedy Do No Harm. Alyssa Milano was cancelled by NBC after only two episodes. Alyssa Milano.............................Alyssa Jayne Milano was born on December 19 1972 in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn New York City to fashion designer and talent manager Lin Milano and film-music editor Thomas M. Milano. Her parents are of Italian heritage and has a younger brother Cory who is ten years older than her. Her family was the strictest and most religious family. Milano was first introduced to acting at the age of seven old. Babysitters took her along to the first audition. The four selected girls from over 1,000 applicants were chosen by Milano. Milano has appeared in TV ads, Off-Broadway productions as well as Jane Eyre, the American debut of Jane Eyre.
