Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and reporter for news for WPDE-TV. Later, she was an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's stories in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance regarding DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. This led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous regulations in these cases. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. O'Dell anchors the main newscast for Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Co-hosted also the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
